4. Helicopter assembly:

Assembly buildings of the company have several final assembly lines for many helicopter platforms available, equipped with advanced assembly equipment such as automatic riveting machine and automatic laser positioning system. Aircraft assembly technologies such as metal bonding, rivetingˇ˘major assembly joining are widely used and application and study for digital assembly technologies are broadly carried out.

5. Tool design:

Changhe Aircraft has a complete tool fabrication system for aviation product ranging from tool management, tool design, loft lines & template design and molds, fixtures, tools fabrication, which is the research and development center at Provincial level. CAD technology was used for tool design at earlier times and Changhe Aircraft is an application & model unit for CAD/CAM application in Jiangxi province. For many years, Changhe Aircraft has formed self-development & design capabilities with complete professional employees available since the company has fully familiarized and assimilated abroad state-of-the-art technologies for design and manufacture during the introduction of abroad tooling. The company has the capabilities for producing tool equipment such as helicopter final assembly fixtures, metal molds, non-metal molds, riveting fixtures, welding fixtures, loft line & template, dummies, master tooling, various tools, aircraft ground test equipment, fabrication & test equipment and auto welding fixtures, dies, final assembly lines, etc.

6. Surface treatment:

Changhe Aircraft has applied more than 20 kinds of plating technologies such as zinc plating, cadmium plating, chromic plating as well as high temperature phosphate treatment for steel parts, chemical oxidization process, and chemical nickel-phosphor alloy plating. Zinc spraying for over-large parts and heat tin plating process for complicated parts may be applied; Sulfuric acid anodization, chromic acid anodization, hard anodization, phosphoric acid anodization, ceramic anodization, chemical oxidization for of aluminum alloy may also be applied in the company, meanwhile titanium alloy pickling, anodizing, stainless steel pickling, passivation, and magnesium alloy chemical oxidization may also be used; Paint spraying for metal parts, plastic parts, composite parts as well as paint spraying for interior and exterior surfaces of the aircraft may be accomplished, the overall state-of-the-art level is in the leading position in China. Changhe Aircraft is one of the minor manufacturers that master the key technology for the application of the non-cyanic cadmium-titanium plating and ceramic anodizing processes worldwide.

7. Heat treatment:

Changhe Aircraft has the capabilities to complete heat treatment for structural steel, high strength steel, refractory steel, stainless steel, spring steel, casting steel and titanium alloy, copper alloy, magnesium alloy as well as the heat treatment for the parts of aluminum alloy, vacuum heat treatment for high precision parts, the chemical heat treatment of nitriding and carburization for steel parts. In additional, the technology of non-oxidization and non-decarbonization treat for part surface is in the leading position in China, and heat treatment for aluminum alloy has reached international state-of-the-art level.

8. Metrology & measuring capability:

Changhe Aircraft has established specific technological sections for length, mechanics, temperature, electromagnetism, radio, precision measuring, special measuring, metrology management, etc. and Changhe Aircraft has set up the highest measurement standard for frequency, dynamometer, rigidity, high frequency signal, etc. In July 1999, Changhe Aircraft was listed as ˇ°Conforming Enterprise For National Grade I Measurementˇ± and Conforming Enterprise For Complete Measurement & Inspection Systemˇ±, following the review by the National Technology Supervision Bureau.

9. Physical & chemical testing capability:

Changhe Aircraft has established the inspection and testing center with various complete professional engineers available for both non-destructive inspection and physical & chemical testing. The qualification of ˇ°Grade II Aviation Physical & Chemical Testing Unitsˇ± had been approved in 1993. Changhe Aircraft had passed the metrology certification for inspection and testing capability & reliability review by Jiangxi Province Technology Supervision Bureau in 2001, and was awarded with qualification certificate for physical & chemical testing of civil product in China. Some special processes had been approved by both Sikorsky and FAA, including penetrant inspection, eddy current conductivity, strength, metallographic analysis, chemical test, composites inspection has been approved by Sikorsky and FAA. Changhe Aircraft has formed complete inspection & testing analysis and quality control system.
